My name is Lizzie and I am the owner of Sprout Doula and Hypnobirthing Services. I am a student doula and am also working towards my Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner certification. I service Cairns and the Tablelands in Far North Queensland, Australia. I have 2 beautiful littlies – both births had their own challenges and I have come through as a very passionate supporter of women and women’s rights in childbirth. I believe that birth is a beautiful, physiological, normal process that usually works best without any interference. I encourage women to claim their power and responsibility as competent decision makers in their own and their children’s lives.

My goal for this blog is just to bring about some awareness of pregnancy, birth and parenting issues through the lens of my own experiences.  I plan to share parts of my journey to motherhood and my journey to becoming a doula and hypnobirthing practitioner as well as just sharing general information that may be of interest.
